Gass Orthodontics Team
Before working here, I brought my own daughter into this very office for care. I was really impressed with Dr. Gass. He spent time with me at each appointment, explaining what would happen next. We felt more like family than patients. The staff was also so attentive and friendly. I feel so lucky to get to assist him and be a member of this great team! I love hearing about what my patients are doing in school, sports, or for fun at home. It is interesting to hear about the books they are reading and movies they have seen. Sometimes they are nervous or worried about treatment, but that never lasts long, as I keep them company and talk to them like the friends they are. At home, my husband and I have a daughter and a son. I always get excited watching them play sports. My family and I enjoy hunting and fishing together. At lunch you may find me reading or exploring my most recent passion, looking at projects on Pinterest.
I really enjoy helping our wonderful patients achieve the smile they have always wanted. I believe a smile is the best thing you can wear. Getting to know you and your families and all the fun things you are doing together is a highlight of my day. You will really enjoy the whole team and feel very comfortable with Dr. Gass. His care and patience for each patient is important to us. At home, my husband and I have two young and very energetic little boys who keep us on our toes. We enjoy hiking, camping, and just about anything outdoors, as long as our third four legged furry son, Gage, can come with us.
I enjoy talking to our patients and their families. It feels good to greet them with a warm smile and receive the same in return. The kids talk to me and tell me about their favorite part of their day and great stories about the amazing things that happen to them. Our office has a whole video game room that keeps our visitors busy. Occasionally, you will even see Dr. Gass in there at lunch. He holds a high score in one of the games! I answer our phone, schedule appointments, assist our team, and offer another friendly face at our front desk with a smile just for you! My husband and I have raised two adult children and been further blessed with two grandsons. I am active in my church. In my spare time, I always look forward to lunch with my girlfriends, reading, and my book club meetings.
Sometimes I am more excited than our patients, since I know how much their new beautiful smiles will change the world for them. Seeing them is like having great friends or family over. It is my job to make them as welcome as can be. Dr. Gass is sensitive, caring, and great at explaining their treatments! I help patients with their questions about the process, what treatment feels like, and choosing the payment options that work best for them and their family. It is important to me that they are well informed and knowledgeable about every aspect of their care, and that they know I am someone they can call to make sure they get the appointments they need or to resolve problems with their insurance provider. At the end of each day, I head home to my husband, two great kids, and our whole farm full of animals. There are kids, horses, dogs, rabbits, cats, and chickens, so it can be a real circus sometimes! I always have fun watching my kids play soccer and baseball. Volunteering is important to us, so our family also spends time with a local horse rescue and at Food For Lane County.
I make the financial process easy and stress free for our patients and their families. It is fun playing detective with their insurance provider to solve their problems. I know I am helping to get them the smile of their dreams. Dr. Gass really believes that it takes more than one person to make this office a success. We all play an integral part in accomplishing the goals of the practice. This is a very happy group and we definitely have fun at work. I am never surprised to hear laughter coming from every corner in the office. Away from the office, my husband and I have been married for 30 years and have two grown children. In my free time, I enjoy being with friends, gardening, decorating, and hiking.
Orthodontic Assistant/Lab Technician
As one of Dr. Gass’ assistants, I help carry out our patients’ treatment plans while making them feel comfortable and at home in our office. I think it is very important to develop a relationship with the patients and their families so that they understand everything about their treatment and feel comfortable coming to me and asking questions. The friendships that I’ve built with our patients mean a lot to me, and seeing their finished smiles at the end of treatment is the best! Outside the office, I love spending time with my two spunky young nephews. My free time is also spent doing just about anything outdoors, especially running, swimming, and golfing. I also enjoy capturing the beauty of nature through photos.
I love that my job of making sure you have a first class experience starts at the front desk. I will likely be one of the first people you meet in the office and I truly enjoy each and every smiling face that comes through our door. There is nothing better than getting to know our patients families. My goal is to take care of all your concerns when you call, from scheduling appointments, to checking insurance, to corresponding with your general dental office. At home, my husband and I have three kids who keep us happily busy… and if that isn’t enough, we recently added a German Shorthair puppy. My family and I enjoy spending time outdoors. I also love to read. If I can fit in some quiet time, you will find my nose in a good book.
After having braces myself I knew I wanted to work in orthodontics! The assistants I had were so nice and friendly. They always made my appointment a great experience. I wanted to be that assistant for someone else. So obviously, the best part of my job is the relationships I get to build with the patients and their families. Outside of work I enjoy Pinterest projects, BBQ’s, and anything to do with my best fur friend, Jason. I am obsessed with Texas so if you have been to Texas and have something cool to share come find me!
In a way I grew up in a dental office because my mom is a dental assistant. I have always been comfortable at the dentist so I work very hard to help people that have dental fear/anxiety. During dental assisting school I found that I really enjoyed working with kids and in orthodontics. I have been working in orthodontics ever since. I am also a real animal lover. I have a cat named Dobby, named after a character in my favorite book series, Harry Potter. Soon I will be adding chickens to my new home and maybe another cat. On my days off I enjoy being outdoors and spending time with family. If you have a cool animal story I would love to hear it!
